ok. this thing is finally up and running. a new beggining rather. let's leave the other one there for memories. the other day we were talking abt faith and practises. i mentioned that i would give it a thought and blog abt it.
Since time immemorial, human beings have asked questions like: Why are we here? How should we live? What is our purpose in life? what happens after we die? Why does evil exist? Well, many religions grew in response to those questions. Over time, more complex religions came about and it has played a critical role in the history of nations around the world, shaping the way people live their lives.
I'm sure there will be times you feel restricted because of religion and practises you were taught to follow. I sure have. It's something that me and my mum can argue over for hours. Many of us wrestled with doubts, conflicts and the prejudices of others. But I have always admired those who apply all the values their faith taught them to make the world a better place.
Some of us believe that all religions are metaphorical. That science is right because it's proven. That choices will lead and determine consequences.
We all grow up learning about cultures and religions. And then i wonder: How do i know that just because I was raised with this, it's what i really believe? Afterall, there's so much out there.
Then, everything becomes a mix.
If you notice, everyone customises religions a little. You and I may be of a same religion but no doubt about it, you'll have slightly different beliefs than me.
But honestly, who cares if you're Muslim or you're Buddhist or if you're Christian? As long as you believe in something that makes sense to you, who cares about what the rest of the world thinks?
I think that spirituality is important. One thing that does make me believe that there is a spiritual world is that there's hope. I always have hope. It's something indispensable.
Everyone will come to a point that they figure out what's true to them.
In the end. it's what you believe in. That would be the ultimate truth.
